A Summer Bike Ride

Between warm summer weather allowing bike rides outside and the Tour de France (I've gotten totally hooked on watching it and have developed a huge crush on Lance Armstrong) I've had my eye out for bicycles! I've always loved this hallway for the wallpaper and gorgeous floors! Now I'm more focused on the bike! I used to think baskets were so old ladyish on a bike, but I've come to adore them! Really, anything that lets you carry more shopping around is good by me! The bike is a surprise in this space but easy storage - hanging from a ceiling!A bicycle adds such a nice element to a room! I'm starting to wonder, can you decorate with them even if you don't plan to ride it?This one looks so good in the space too!
Now, if I decide to get a new bike... I might have to get this one!! Because.....It comes with a hidden flask! Have you seen anything funnier? This bike is pretty fun looking too! And I just couldn't resist this photo!!! I know that our puppy would NEVER have sat still enough for this kind of photo!

  1. Man, you are fast at the Mr. Linky :)

I love the first picture...the flooring...the wallpaper. Cool post with the bike theme...you are so creative!

  2. I'm hooked on biking too :-) I got a new bike last year, and I love it!! There's a big loop here I can ride around that goes from the suburbs, along the canal, into downtown, along the river, and back home.

The pictures you posted are great :-) Not sure I'd hang my bike from the ceiling, although it does look kind of cool!! And the puppy in the basket is so cute :-)

  3. These are great photos. I'm is desperate, well not really- self-imposed desperation), need of a beach cruiser. I love them!

  4. Happy Pedaling!
With a family of five I would need a very large basket on a bike to bring our groceries home...

    Have a great Friday!

  5. Visiting from Julia's party. :) I love all the bike photos...I've seen several beautiful bike photos lately with the "vintagey" feel to them. :)

  6. How very sweet!

I just saw the cutest bike in a garden FULL of flowers... great idea.

  7. I want a bike so bad. This post made me one one even more! I love those rooms.

Feel free to check out my brand new craft blog at http://www.oopsicraftmypants.blogspot.com.

  8. Great photos. I want a bike so badly! I've been looking online at beach cruisers for hours tonight. After seeing this post, I definitely need to take the plunge! :)

  9. You have a lovely blog with great photos. But the last one here is definitely favorite, as I am planning to have bicycle rides just like that with my future puppy.

  10. Now, if only the communities in which we live could provide us with more bike paths, we might actually get to use bicycles as a daily form of transportation!

  11. Great post!! :-) I used to have a basket on the front of my hybrid - for riding to the produce stand. Not sure how I will transport produce now that I have road bike.
The Tour is amazing this year! Can't wait until Saturday's climb up Mt Ventoux!!

  12. The flask on the bike is too funny! i wonder if you can get a DUI while bike riding? I know it applies to tractors.

  13. I'll take the one with the puppy, please!
But the hidden flask is a close second.

  14. Bike flask! That is biking for pleasure.

  15. Enjoyed the photos...love the green bike with the basket. One of my favoritie joys in biking The Silver Comet Trail! :-) Ummm, a flask...now that's different. Wonder if one could be pulled over for biking under the influence! :-) Susan

  16. LOVE bicycle photos... and I have several picked out to paint SOON as I finish paint jobs... FUN!
    ENJOY your weekend!

  17. I loved the bike seat with a flask! That was a unique find! Fun photos.

  18. Those are great bikes - especially the one with the flask. I also love the pink chairs in the second photo. I sourced a pair for a project I was doing a year or so ago and absolutely fell in love. Thanks for the visit down memory lane!

I am also a huge fan of NYC, having visited there twice in the last year - the first was my first trip to NYC. If it's possible to fall in love with a city - I've done it - and so has hubby! We can't wait to come back!

I will also be coming back to visit your blog!
